Westinghouse Rail: Keeping track of staff with Skill-safe

Westinghouse Rail Systems Ltd a company at the cutting edge of technology within the Rail Sector has started to roll out Skill-safe on its UK projects.

Skill-safe will be used by WRSL and all of its key contractors to record key qualifications, training and inductions for all staff: directly-employed and the supply chain.

Coupled with individual Smartcards, all workers on WRSL projects will have their qualifications checked electronically at the start of work to ensure the competency and compliance of everyone on site.

Implementation has already commenced at WRSLs major resignalling project for Network Rail at Coventry, as well as two other sites with more to follow.
